This hood pattern is based on common iconography from the medieval period. Coming down over the chest and shoulders, it gives excellent coverage for retaining warmth. Wool has lovely thermal properties but also naturally slightly water resistant, which means getting caught in drizzle is less bothersome! Fitting nicely about the head means it keeps warmth in; but with linen lining, there's no need to worry about the itch of wool on sensitive skin areas. A short 'pipe on this one ensures it won't get in your way as you work. Hand made cloth buttons and machine stitched button holes complete the garment.
Materials: Wool outer, linen lining.
