Basic Hair-Covering Set
This set is comprised of 4 items: A fillet, a barbette, a veil and a set of small pins. Each item is separate which means that they can be worn independently, in multiple different configurations or even in conjunction with other headwear. Based on iconography and effigies throughout the Early Medieval period, the fillet and barbette were staples of the common woman's wardrobe. Veils can be traced further back and were worn right through to the Renaissance, which make it an extremely adaptable item!
