A Viking age accessory, perfect for keeping coats closed or simply showing off your status!
Based on a find from Kaupang, in southern Norway, this design dates to the middle of the 9th century.
On the back of the cloverleaf fibula is a sturdy needle, which can be used on stronger, thicker fabrics, with loop on the rear for stringing your beads or everyday tools from.
The original brooch is now held at the Archaeological Museum in Bergen.
